Rajeshwari Kala Mandir Charitable Trust was established in 1986 by Dr. Rajeshwari Dhir to provide Music, Dance, liberal, scientific, and technical education and for that purpose to build schools, start educational institutions, and award stipends/scholarships to deserving students.

The revered trustees of the RKM Foundation were quite convinced of the importance of education and believed that intellectual, technical, and most important of all social education would help the nation to develop those traits among Indians which are necessary for development and progress. They believed that education alone can open opportunities for enlightenment and can generate a respectable standard of living for Indian people.
